According to political circles, former Democratic Party full-time deputy spokesperson Lee Kyung and pro-government broadcaster Kim Eo-jun are spreading conspiracy theories that the recent series of entertainment industry issues are a scheme to cover up incidents unfavorable to conservatives, which has greatly unsettled their supporters. The issues they claim as 'unfavorable to conservatives' include the trials related to former President Yoon Suk-yeol and First Lady Kim Keon-hee, the civil war trial, and the case of Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae being indicted by the High-ranking Officials Crime Investigation Division. Former deputy spokesperson Lee said, On the 9th, he wrote a lengthy post on Facebook, beginning with the statement, "Whenever a 'report' unfavorable to 'someone' appears, something else explodes." He continued, "On the very day in March 2013 when the 'sexual favor scandal' exploded and Vice Minister of Justice Kim Hak-ui resigned, the media spotlight was focused on the sudden 'Kim Yong-man illegal gambling case,'" and added, "Is this just a coincidence?",,,,, "Whenever crimes committed by those in power with vested interests face a crisis, celebrity issues emerge and shake the tide. This pattern has not been broken even after 10 years." He added, "At this moment in 2025, the civil war trial has disappeared, leaving only Cho Jin-woong's name, and the president sitting in the defendant's seat under the name of a traitor. However, related reports have significantly decreased, and reports on Kim Keon-hee's crimes have miraculously decreased,,,covered with celebrity names." Netizens presumed to be supporters of the ruling party also claimed online that the controversy surrounding the three celebrities   was a plot to cover up issues unfavorable to the opposition. "They shielded Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Geon-hee for crimes as victims of Lee Sun-kyun, and now they're shielding the insurgents as scapegoats for Jo Jin-woong, the ringleaders of the rebellion?", "Jo Jin-woong, Park Na-rae, Jo Se-ho can't cover up Jo Hee-dae by exposing this,"   "The opera forces are desperate, so they tried to get caught up in whatever they wanted, and simultaneously exposed Jo Jin-woong, Park Na-rae, and Jo Se-ho," and so on.
