He is accused of assaulting a man in his 30s, Mr. A, who was dining with him at a restaurant in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to Seungri, the incident took place on August 8 from 6 a.m. to 6:40 a.m. at a sundae soup restaurant in Gangnam. Seungri said, "At the time, I was having a meal with two acquaintances when a drunk customer (Mr. A) at another table suddenly asked me to sit with me. Despite refusing several times, I didn't leave and kept asking to hear my business idea. When asked if there was any act that would constitute aggravated assault, Seungri said, "It is true that I raised a bottle of alcohol while expressing my intention not to attend," but added, "I only lifted it, not brandished or threatened it." He "Afterwards, we sat together and talked, and in a bright atmosphere, we all put our arms around each other, shouting to fight, and we drank together and exchanged numbers to be 'older brother' and younger sibling." He continued, "At the time, when I left first, Mr. A saw me off, and right after we parted, he contacted me first and told me to do hangovers saying it would hurt my stomach, and told me to have a good weekend and to meet next week. Afterwards, I got a call to meet and asked, 'Please send me a business plan.' When I got no contact, I got a reply the next day saying he would file a lawsuit," he claimed. Although he was "shocked" by Mr. A's change in attitude in just 2~3 days, Seungri said he had already secured evidence and witness statements , and expressed his intention to cooperate faithfully with the investigation. Seungri said, "After the drinking party, I received text messages from Mr. A, the CCTV footage inside the restaurant, staff who witnessed the atmosphere at the time of dining together, and Mr. A seeing me off, We have also secured the testimony of the valet driver who saw it," and ,,,added, "We will cooperate well with the investigative authorities to provide an explanation," and added, "Acquaintances who were present have also been sued, and we are considering counterfiling a false accusation on this matter."
