At the hearing held at the National Assembly on the 30th titled 'Coupang Incident, Personal Information Leak, Unfair Trade, Labor Environment Conditions, and Measures to Prevent Recurrence,' Coupang faced fierce criticism for the uncooperative behavior of Kim Beom-seok, chairman of Coupang Inc. Board, and instead of Harold Rogers, Coupang's interim CEO and former Coupang CEO Park Dae-joon, they were criticized. Ahn Ho-young, a member of the Democratic Party, said, "Until Chairman Kim appears, we will resolutely take all legal and procedural measures, including filing complaints, as well as demanding additional attendance." Park Hong-bae, a Democratic Party lawmaker, also directly criticized, "The root cause of the problem is only one person, Kim Beom-seok." Coupang was clearly focusing on 'shielding' while evading responsibility, and when asked whether Chairman Kim was responsible, he replied, "I am the representative of Coupang Korea." It seemed they were trying to protect Chairman Kim, and when the ,,, lawmakers consistently answered questions about responsibility and compensation, Choi Min-hee, chairperson of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee, fiercely criticized, "Why is Kim Beom-seok playing tricks by bringing up someone who doesn't understand the implications of the Korean language?" Previously, Coupang announced that after conducting its own investigation into former employees suspected of information leaks, only 3,000 accounts were confirmed and the rest were deleted. However, Deputy Prime Minister Bae Kyung-hoon, head of the 'Coupang Incident Government-wide Task Force,' said, "We cannot agree," adding, "More than 33 million names and emails were leaked, and the Personal Information Protection Commission, National Police Agency, and joint public-private investigation team have confirmed this fact." He continued, "Additionally, we believe delivery addresses and order details were leaked," and said, "Coupang I want to express serious concern that the unagreed result was announced in advance. There is extremely malicious intent," they claimed, ,,,Coupang wants to end this incident with minimal compensation no matter what, and Kim Beom-seok seems to be thoroughly enjoying the situation!! He even thinks it's an American company,,, so what can Korea do!! Even in the U.S., compensation is handled with cash headbutts, not coupons!!!!!!
