A diplomatic source familiar with Korea-China relations said on the 4th, "President Xi invited President Lee to visit China in April next year during the Korea-China summit," adding, "It appears he is considering the timing of the conclusion of the March Two Sessions (National People's Congress and CPPCC), which are important political events in China." Next November, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit is scheduled in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, so if the April visit takes place, President Lee will visit China twice next year. Especially in April next   year, U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to China is also scheduled, which could become a major variable in the situation on the Korean Peninsula. At this Korea-China summit, President Xi said to President Lee, 'The nuclear-powered submarines that South Korea is pursuing are not equipped with nuclear weapons.'   Although it is a submarine, it is reported that after hearing an explanation that North Korea declared possession of a nuclear-powered submarine for defensive purposes, he briefly replied, "I am cautious." In response to this explanation, the presidential office claimed that "(President Xi) was persuaded," but in a statement from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released after the meeting, President Xi said, "Let's consider each other's core interests and major concerns," implying that South Korea's acquisition of nuclear submarines is a 'major concern' and that the company will respond according to progress. Surely they wouldn't invite them and then threaten them with economic sanctions like during the THAAD deployment!!!!!!
