Gangneung faced many difficulties during the worst drought last August and September, exposing the main water source, Obong Reservoir, to the bottom and causing 75% of water meters to be locked and hourly water supply being implemented. During the hardships caused by the drought , people across the country and all walks of life sent huge amounts of bottled water to help Gangneung citizens, showing great kindness. According to Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province on the 30th, as of the 17th, Gangneung had received 10,663,081 bottles of bottled water, including 2-liter and 0.5-liter bottles. During the drought, the city distributed bottled water to all citizens twice, which greatly helped overcome the severe water shortage crisis. In mid-September, when the drought was severe, each apartment resident received three bundles of six 2L bottles, and except for apartment areas, citizens were given two bundles of six 2L bottles each, each in two batches, in two batches. Subsequently, large quantities of bottled water were distributed to social welfare facilities, hospital residents, university students from outside the jurisdiction, foreign university students and foreign workers, daycare centers, infants under 24 months, and small business owners. On the 19th of last month, heavy rain fell in Gangneung, and as the disaster state was lifted, the water level at Obong Reservoir rose and water concerns were eased. However, 9,593,965 bottles of bottled water were distributed to citizens, leaving the remaining 1,069,116 bottles in other words,,, the remaining bottled water is reportedly piled up for nearly a month in a temporary outdoor parking lot overgrown with weeds. Some are exposed to the sun and are accumulating dust,,, Does this make sense??? Previously, in Gangneung, after the drought ended, some citizens continued selling donated bottled water through secondhand trading, drawing criticism,,,, what these people are doing is a bit much, ah, hak-san!!!!!!!
