President Lee: "The Itaewon disaster, the state was not present that day,,,,,,, now I will take responsibility."

On the 29th, at the 3rd anniversary memorial service for the Itaewon disaster, President Lee Jae-myung delivered a video tribute, saying, "Three years ago, 159 precious lives left us in the alleys of Itaewon in the heart of Seoul, leaving us so empty," and pointed out, "On that day, the state was not present," and added, "We failed to protect the lives that should have been protected, could not prevent the sacrifices that could have been prevented, and there was no prevention, no post-incident response, and no one to take responsibility." He continued, "The trust that the state will protect its people has disappeared, leaving only the deep pain and wounds of a society where everyone lives for themselves," and mentioned, "Now, the state will take responsibility." He also said, "We will look back on everything from inadequate responses, irresponsible avoidance, to insufficient apologies and comfort, and make things right one by one," adding, "We will never again be unjustly sacrificed due to the state's neglect and absence ." He emphasized. Furthermore, to the bereaved families, he promised, "The nation will never turn its back again," and promised, "We will uncover the truth to the end, create a country where the lives of the people are respected, and a country where everyone is safe," President ,,,Lee said,  "Once again, I offer my deepest condolences. I will not forget. I will remember," and bowed again, saying, "If you're the ,,, president, this is what you should do!! That bastard from before was really annoying, making the bereaved families cry twice,,, and that tragedy happened while guarding the Yongsan presidential office!! so he must never be left out of his bread!!!!!!!
